The Palisades, or simply Palisades, is a neighbourhood in Washington, D.C. that runs along the Potomac River from the Georgetown University campus to the D.C.-Maryland border. The main thoroughfare through the Palisades is MacArthur Boulevard. The neighbourhood has a small-town feel, but it is only a few minutes away from the bustling streets of Georgetown and Downtown DC. Residents have easy access to a variety of recreational activities along the Potomac, as well as the C & O and Capital Crescent Trails.
