LeDroit Park is a northwest Washington, D.C. neighbourhood located immediately southeast of Howard University. It is bounded to the north by W Street, to the south by Rhode Island Avenue and Florida Avenue, to the east by Second Street NW, and to the west by Georgia Avenue. LeDroit Park was one of Washington's first suburbs. Many of the area's Victorian mansions, houses, and rowhouses were developed and marketed as a "romantic" neighbourhood, complete with narrow tree-lined streets named after the trees that shaded them.
